New Braunfels K-9 Finds $50K in Narcotics During Stop

New Braunfels Police Department's K-9 unit, Sophie, successfully detected a significant amount of narcotics during a traffic stop early this morning. At around 2:50 am on January 30, 2024, officers pulled over a beige Dodge Grand Caravan in the 4300 block of I-35 South.

After conducting an open air sniff with K-9 Sophie, a substantial quantity of illegal drugs was found in the vehicle. The narcotics included 276 grams of methamphetamine, 216 grams of fentanyl, and over 7 pounds of Xanax. These drugs have an estimated street value of nearly $50,000.

The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Joshua Charles Hahn from Houston, was arrested and taken to the Comal County Jail. He has been charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (PG 1-B >=200g<400g). At the time of this report, bond had not yet been set, and there may be additional charges pending against Hahn.
