The City of Port St. Lucie concluded Florida City Government Week by connecting with over 300 students from Tradition Prep High School and Somerset College Preparatory Academy. Representatives from several departments, including Public Works, Utility Systems, Communications, Parks & Recreation, Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful, and the Port St. Lucie Police Department attended the event to answer questions and provide insights about municipal operations.

The participating students engaged the city staff with thoughtful questions, fostering a dialogue about local government functions. The city expressed gratitude to both schools for their collaboration in making the event possible.

Florida City Government Week, organized by the Florida League of Cities, Inc., is observed annually in October and aims to engage citizens in the workings of their local governments.
